Askalon AB is a family company and have since 1973 worked for improved performance of the process industries applications. We are today 90 employees with competence in valves, valve diagnostics and valve service. We also have our own engineering and construction department for pipe systems and process modules like skids and an education centre with courses aimed for the process industry. Askalon is Emerson Local Business Partner for valves and service.
We care about the environment and help the industry with the green transformation. We offer sustainable products to produce renewable biofuel, such as HVO & green diesel. We are also strong withing the Power-to-X industry and hydrogen manufacturing where we provide fossil free and energy efficient solutions and applications to the market.
We are now looking for an Area Account Manager covering Zealand and Iceland due to an internal promotion.

Area Account Manager

Primary purpose of the Area Account Manager is to work in conjunction with Internal Sales to achieve sales targets by selling and supporting Askalon’ s products and services to existing accounts and generating new business within a business segmented territory/industry.
- Responsibility for continuously developing relationships with customers
- Maintain and develop sales and marketing of Askalon’ s products, engineering, service, and courses to all customers in the segmented territory/industry
- Drive the sales process in cooperation with the team
- Clarify scope and specification with customer
- Customer co-visits depending on complexity or customization
- Handle contract negotiation on order basis and long-term customer contracts
- Continuous update on upcoming projects

You have an educational background as an Engineer e. g Mechanical - Chemical - Electrical - Process Engineering, Marine or the like. You have relevant experience from the process industry combined with business understanding and ideally a commercial education. Your experience must be related to B2B and technical problem solving with customers within engineering and the process industry.
You have used your skills in a similar role like counseling or proactive selling and you have a good understanding of the process industry and the products that Askalon is so very well known for. You possess strong presentation skills and are strong within tender processes, offers, project descriptions etc. In addition, we expect you to have excellent communication skills and can talk with people on all levels.
You are sales driven and at the same time you are a team player. You have a mindset where you involve your colleagues that you believe in, that working together as a team is where you achieve the best results. You strive to deliver an excellent customer experience while being able to structure the company processes and deliver with an urgent sense of high quality. You thrive in a busy environment, and you are result oriented with the ability to drive clients’ projects forward and at the same time you finalize the on-going and important business as well.
